New price increase for pure and mixed cylinder gases

Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC announces price increases between 5 percent and 20 percent for cylinder oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and other gas products. Prices for helium will be increased between 20 percent and 25 percent. In addition, cylinder rental fees will be increased by 10 percent while delivery charges will be increased by 25 percent. The increases will become effective on September 1, 2008 or as allowed by customer contracts.

Guy Rowland, president of Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC, commented, “Rising raw material costs along with growing energy and world commodity costs are driving this inflation. This is further compounded by rising labor and insurance costs and the escalating cost of distribution associated with sourcing and delivery.”
