Taylor Wharton has a new vice president and general manager.

Stuart R. Jara has been named Vice President and General Manager of Taylor-Wharton International’s pressure vessel and cylinder division, Taylor-Wharton (TW).

In joining TW, a worldwide gas and cryogenics products and services company, Jara will be based at TWI’s new Lehigh Valley offices in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and will report to Hoyt Fitzsimmons, Taylor-Wharton’s President.

Jara has served in increasingly senior management roles with The Linde Group (formerly the BOC Group) and most recently held the position of Vice President Tonnage Business Americas. His tenure at BOC/Linde also includes senior management positions in Latin America and the Asia Pacific region.

Announcing the appointment, Fitzsimmons said, “Taylor-Wharton’s global growth initiatives and focus on expanding marketing resources worldwide are a perfect fit with Stuart’s expertise and experience in the industrial gas industry. He has an established track record as a customer-focused executive with demonstrated results in successful market expansion programs and market-driven innovations.”

Fitzsimmons further noted that, “Stuart’s achievements over a wide range of business environments, including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, start-up divisions, multinationals and corporate restructuring will certainly reinforce our international growth objectives and his customer orientation and hands-on approach will provide strong leadership to our worldwide sales organisation.”

In joining Taylor-Wharton’s senior management team, Jara will assume the responsibilities of Scott W. Boyd, who is retiring on 30th September 2008.
