Senscient has elected John S. Filla to Chairman of the
Senscient Board of Directors in a meeting of the company directors on 6th
August 2008.
Filla has over 15 years of global experience in the
field of instrumentation and controls, with a focus on Health, Safety and Environmental
(HSE) applications. Filla is also active in the funding, M&A activities and
management of several other early-stage companies where he provides guidance on
a broad spectrum of strategic, financial and operational matters.
Filla has been involved with Senscient since participating in the company’s
2006 Series A investment round and joining as an Outside Director. Having
specified and sold fire & gas detection systems in the hydrocarbon
processing and power industries throughout his career, which included
assignments at companies such as Invensys and ABB, his domain expertise and
contacts have proven especially beneficial to the new company.

new position will only enhance Senscient’s future growth and stated, “John
