As the Latin American business climate attracts increasing
investor attention, interest in the forthcoming gasworld conference in Chile is also heating-up.
After the success of its inaugural conference in the Middle
East last December and the authentic African experience of a probing conference
in South Africa
this summer, gasworld will be
bringing the industrial gas fraternity together for an even bigger event in
January.
Specialty Gas Report will be on hand to bring its readers a
review of the event, which is set to cover a number of specialty gas-related
topics as well as addressing the key issues surrounding the South American
gases market.
The Latin American economy, its business climate, future oil
& gas prospects, and the opportunities for growth for the gases business in
the region will all be discussed.
As well as this, Specialty Gas Report’s Henry Grieco is
scheduled to provide a presentation regarding Special Gas Filling Operations, while other presentations will
cover topics such as cylinder testing developments, cylinder filling
optimization, pure hydrocarbon gases, and cryogenic equipment developments.
Clock is ticking
The gasworld
South & Central America Conference will be held in Santiago, Chile
from the 13th – 14th January 2009, now just a mere few
months away.
With a provisional agenda nearing completion and a number of
companies already signing up for the event, interest has been reaching fervent
levels, to the delight of Conference Manager Sharon Sandercock.
“It’s a busy and exciting time for gasworld as we
look forward to 2009 and our South American Conference. This conference builds
on the success of our previous two conferences; Middle East and South Africa, and has been designed to explore
the growing demands of the industrial gases industry in South
America.”
Opportunity insights
Titled ‘The Challenges Facing the Gas Industry in a Region
of Opportunity’, the conference will address
the current business demands and opportunities in the South and Central
American regions.
These economies and business markers have been experiencing
rapid growth of late, with the Latin Business Chronicle reporting increased
interest from the German business community in recent years, while a report
earlier this year from ICIS news cited demand from the steel and chemical
sectors as driving the region’s industrial gas demand.
A number of the major gases companies are believed to be
ready to make heavy investment in the South American market.
The gasworld
conference in Chile
will highlight the driving forces behind such gases demand, while also
discussing the opportunities for growth.
Intensifying
Interest in the conference, which is to be staged in a dual
language English and Spanish format, has been intensifying in recent weeks as
those in the industry sign-up to either attend, sponsor or speak at the event.
A program or agenda is nearing completion, outlining the key
topics for discussion and a preliminary timetable for these, including a
Pre-Conference registration evening scheduled for the 12th January
and consisting of an informal BBQ and cocktail party.
Earlybird hopefuls
are reminded that the book and pay offer of 25% off the full delegate fee ends
on 14th November, while sponsorship opportunities are already
attracting the confirmed attention of a number of parties.
