Compressed Gas Association hosts Japanese delegation
The Compressed Gas Association, Chantilly, VA, (CGA) helped strengthen industry safety on May 20, 2009 by hosting representatives from the Japan Industrial and Medical Gases Association (JIMGA) and Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corp.
These representatives
met with senior CGA staff, including CGA’s president, to share knowledge and
expertise on safety and environmental practices.
Discussions focused on standards for the safe delivery of hydrogen and global climate change. Both issues are active in the U.S. and Japan.
The delegation was given a
tour and fueling demonstration at a Shell/Air Products and Chemicals hydrogen
refueling station in Washington, DC. General Motors Corp.
was also on hand to demonstrate a 700-bar refueling of a state-of-the-art fuel
cell powered SUV.
