Specialty Gas Report appoints new Editor
Specialty Gas Report, the specialty and medical gases and equipment publication for the industrial gases business in North America and beyond, has appointed Ron Lucas as the new Editor of the magazine and on-line news portal, effective 1 January 2009.
Ron has significant experience writing within the industrial gases business and was formerly a journalist and editor of Gas & Welding Distributor magazine (a publication of Penton), for ten years before becoming a freelance writer for various magazines both within and outside of the industrial and medical gases business.
Ron takes over from the retiring Mike Vasilakes. Hank Grieco, former owner and now lead advisor to Specialty Gas Report commented "Mike helped me set up the magazine 10 years ago and I am extremely grateful for his time and efforts over the past decade. Thanks to his input and writing skills we produced a useful and readable magazine and more importantly, an education tool for those entering or working with speciality or medical gases. I know Mike relishes the thought of some peace and quiet and no longer receiving my tear-outs from various magazines that went towards establishing articles for the magazine. We will remain in touch but we all at Specialty Gas Report wish him well in his retirement".

Specialty Gas Report is currently circulated to producers, distributors and end-users of Specialty and Medical Gases and Equipment. Through its recent tie up with gasworld.com ltd it will be increasing its circulation within the international market. A new look portal website was launched which includes daily and/or weekly news on special gases, downloadable features and a sourcing directory for the specialty gases industry.
